Sizing
Where to measure?
Grab a measuring tape and get ready to keep a gymnast still for 5 minutes!
Torso - Please note* The most important measurement is the torso! Place tape on the shoulder, measure from the shoulder, through the legs, around the back to meet the same shoulder.
Chest - Place tape close to armpits, measure from one side to the other, measure the chest at the fullest part.
Waist - Place tape where legs stop, measure from one side to the other, measure the hips at the fullest part.
Hips - Place the tape measure around the fullest part of the hips/bottom (usually around the widest point), keeping the tape level all the way around and snug but not tight.
Gymnastics Leotard Sizing Chart
Please Read Before Ordering
• The size guide provided is a reference guide only.
• It is not an absolute guarantee of fit.
• Body shape, proportions, and personal fit preference can vary.
If your gymnast measures between sizes, or if you are concerned about tightness, we recommend selecting the next size up.
The following size charts have been thoroughly assessed to ensure that taking accurate measurements will assure the correct size being ordered. When a gymnast's measurement contains a partial cm, always round up to the next full cm.
Our gymnastics leotards are designed as performance garments and are intentionally made with negative ease.
What is Negative Ease?
Negative ease means the garment measurements are slightly smaller than the body measurements. This is intentional. The stretch fabric expands to fit the body securely during training and competition.
Leotards should feel:
• Snug and secure
• Close-fitting to the body
• Supportive during movement
They should not fit loosely like everyday clothing.
For Club Made-To-Order Uniforms
Where garments are bespoke and made specifically for your club:
• Clubs are advised to retain sample sizes for try-on purposes.
• Velocity Pro Sport does not offer size exchanges on bespoke club items.
• Incorrect sizes must be returned to the club for internal resale.
Please ensure measurements are checked carefully before placing your order.

Slim Sports Fit Tracksuit Warm Up Jacket Sizing Chart

Our Slim Fit Tracksuit Jackets are designed differently to our gymnastics leotards.
Choosing the Correct Jacket Size
• Please use body measurements when selecting a size.
• The finished garment measurements will always be larger than the body measurement — this is correct and intentional.
• If between sizes and a more relaxed fit is preferred, we recommend sizing up.
Understanding the Difference: Positive Ease vs Negative Ease
Leotards (Negative Ease)
Gymnastics leotards are made with stretch fabric and are intentionally designed to measure slightly smaller than the body. They stretch to create a secure, competition-ready fit.
Tracksuit Jackets (Positive Ease)
Tracksuit jackets are outerwear garments and are designed with positive ease. This means the finished garment measurements are intentionally larger than the body measurements to allow for:
• Comfortable movement
• Layering over training wear
• Natural ease through the shoulders and chest
• A slim but non-restrictive fit
Jackets are not designed to fit tightly like leotards.
