Mickleover Gymnastics Club Begins a New Club Kit Partnership with Velocity Pro Sport

When Mickleover Gymnastics Club found themselves needing a new club kit supplier following the liquidation of Milano Pro Sport, Velocity Pro Sport was delighted to step in and help provide continuity for the club and its members.

Following the news of Milano Pro Sport entering liquidation, our team reached out to gymnastics clubs that may have been affected to offer our support. As a UK manufacturer of gymnastics leotards and club kit, we knew that clubs could suddenly be facing uncertainty around future orders, replacement garments and maintaining a consistent club identity.

That initial conversation with Mickleover Gymnastics Club has now developed into an exciting new partnership, with Velocity Pro Sport becoming a supplier of the club's new gymnastics leotards and coordinating club kit.

Creating a New Look for Mickleover Gymnastics Club

Working with Mickleover, our design team developed a new range that gives the club a distinctive and coordinated identity while meeting the practical requirements of gymnasts training and competing regularly.

The new Mickleover collection includes club gymnastics leotards alongside complementary garments and accessories, giving members a dedicated range from which to order their official club kit.

Throughout the process, the club has been able to work directly with the Velocity team, from the initial design stage through to manufacture and launch.

Gymnastics Leotards Made in the UK

One of the key differences with the new partnership is that Mickleover's leotards are manufactured here in the UK by Velocity Pro Sport.

Rather than outsourcing production overseas, our gymnastics garments are produced by our own team, giving us direct control over manufacturing, quality and future supply.

For clubs, this also means working directly with the company designing and manufacturing their kit.

Velocity has been manufacturing gymnastics leotards and specialist sportswear in the UK for more than 20 years, combining technical stretch fabrics, sublimation printing, specialist sewing and decorative finishes to produce garments designed specifically for gymnastics.

Members looking beyond their official club kit can also explore our full range of [gymnastics leotards], including sleeveless, long-sleeve, training and competition designs.

A Dedicated Mickleover Gymnastics Club Shop

As part of the partnership, Mickleover members now have their own dedicated online club shop on the Velocity Pro Sport website.

This provides one place for members and parents to view the approved club range, select the required sizes and order directly from Velocity.

The dedicated shop also means the club itself does not need to collect individual orders, manage payments or hold large quantities of kit for its members.

Supporting Gymnastics Clubs Through a Difficult Transition

The closure of a long-established supplier inevitably created uncertainty for a number of gymnastics clubs across the UK.

Our priority when contacting affected clubs was simple: to let them know that there was another UK gymnastics-wear manufacturer available to help.

For some clubs that may mean developing something completely new. For others, it can mean working with them to make the transition to a new supplier as straightforward as possible.
