Hundreds of children are being prevented from taking part in sport because British Gymnastics is attempting to restrict a competitor’s business, it is claimed. British Gymnastics has announced the appointment of its new Chair, Mike Darcey who will take over from outgoing Chair Matt Neville. Matt is stepping down after eight successful years and having served the maximum term. It was reported on the 25th January 2019 that Olympic bronze medal-winning gymnast Beth Tweddle has taken the decision to take legal action against the makers of Channel 4's TV show 'The Jump' as a result of her fracturing her vertebrae on the reality TV show back 2016. The 33-year-old required surgery on her neck and spinal cord after hitting a barrier when landing.
